FAQs

The phone chat is a chance to talk briefly about what you’d like support with. I’ll also ask you some basic details, for example whether you’d had any counselling before and if so what worked for you and what didn’t.
I can let you know about the way I work and my availability and at the end of the call, you can either book in an initial 50 counselling session or go away and have a think about it.

In our first, 50 minute counselling session, also known as the initial assessment, we’ll recap on what we discusssed on the 20 minute phone chat. We’ll go through a counselling contract which I’ll send to you in advance and you can ask any questions you may have about the contract or the therapy process. We’ll check in on how you’re feeling today and then go through some basic questions about your mental health and wellbeing. There should also be some time to begin exploring what’s happening for you right now.

An online counselling session costs £55. I review my prices annually.
I ask that you transfer the money on the day of the session or before.

I am currently only offering short-term therapy (6-12 sessions), as I will be taking an extended break in July. If you're looking for long-term therapy, I may not be suitable for your needs right now. However, I’d be happy to discuss your goals and see if short-term work could be helpful.
